Pantone recently announced that the color of 2013 will be emerald. Even though we are still in 2012, it's not too early to incorporate this hue into your wardrobe. You can add a pop of color to any neutral outfit with a green cardigan, a scarf, or piece of jewelry. You can even brighten up your holiday gear with a nice emerald nail color or colorful eyeliner.

I'm Loving...

Get the Look: Aztec Prints

Another big trend for spring is Aztec prints. You can find these prints in everything from t-shirts to accessories. Most of the time I find that Aztec prints are more on the casual side, but that's not always the case. You can also find these prints a little more dressed up like the dresses above. I love the coral and metallic color combination of the All Saints dresses above.

Spring Must Have

Spring is here and I'm excited that I can finally dress for the warmer weather. There are many new trends that come with a new season, but there is one trend that keeps popping up on my radar. This trend is the chambray shirt. 

At first I wasn't too sure of this trend, it kind of reminds me of my Catholic high school uniform. However, after seeing how many celebrities and bloggers have styled it, I've decided that I need to give this trend a try. I love that the chambray shirt can be worn casual with some black or colored skinnies, but it can also be dressed up and worn with a flirty skirt. This top will even look great with your spring maxi skirt!

Many stores are carrying chambray shirts, so you shouldn't have any problems finding one. I found one at Old Navy similar to the one below.

Spring Fever

It may be cold and rainy outside, but spring fashion is popping up everywhere from blogs and magazines to many stores. Celebrities have also been wearing spring fashion lately, and it all makes me crave the end of winter. One of the spring trends that I have noticed is long maxi skirts with a thigh high slit in the front. The high slit brings a little sexiness to the not so revealing maxi skirt. You can wear this look dressed up like Rachel McAdams or more casual like Kim Kardashian.

Below are some options if you like this look. I especially like the Victoria's Secret version, which is an affordable way to achieve Kim's look above.

A Great Way to Start the New Year

A new year has begun, and I thought a good way to start the new year would be to give back. One easy way to give back is to donate your used holiday cards to St. Jude's Ranch for Children. The children of  St. Jude's Ranch take those used cards and create new holiday cards that can be purchased to benefit the children of St. Jude's Ranch and Kid's Corp.
