Summer Trend: Striped Maxi Dresses

Summer is almost here and one of my favorite things to wear during the summer is a maxi dress. I normally wear maxi dresses in solid colors or floral prints, like this one from Free People, but lately I've really been loving striped maxi dresses. Maxi dresses are perfect for summer barbecues or for running around town. You can wear them with flat gladiator sandals or comfortable wedge sandals. You can also add a cute denim jacket if it gets a little chilly.

Get the Look: Kim Kardashian

Lately I've been loving rompers for the warmer weather. They are very comfortable and easy to dress up for a night on the town, or dress down for a day at the beach. Kim Kardashian recently wore a strapless romper while out and about in Miami. She used a belt to accentuate her waist and added a pair of platform cork sandals and an orange clutch for a pop of color. 

Summer is coming and if you want to sport this look around town or on vacation here are some suggestions.

Fashion Event: South Moon Under Grand Opening

Last Thursday I attended the Grand Opening of South Moon Under's newest location in Fairfax, Virginia. They had a Cinco de Mayo themed event that included festive food, drinks and decorations. Shoppers were given a 20% discount on their purchases during the event and they were also given a chance to win many prizes throughout the night. It was a great event and I was able to score a couple of items that will be great for Spring and Summer.

The store had a great selection of clothing that will be great for the upcoming Summer season. One of my favorites is this cute Charlie Jade romper.

I wore the romper this weekend to a bachelorette party and, I have to say, it was very comfortable as well as stylish.

Get the Look: Kate Middleton

Kate Middleton has been on my fashion radar for the last few years. Kate has a classic style that always looks great whether she is wearing jeans and riding boots or a nice gown.  Ever since the royal engagement, I've been wondering what Kate will wear on her wedding day, and she did not disappoint. Kate looked stunning when she married Prince William on Friday, April 29th.
