We all have our personal Alegria’s and my joie de vivre is design. As Diana shares the things that bring an instant smile to her face I will compliment it with a topic in Interior Design.

This week we give a nod to Diana’s favorite color, Blue.

What better way to express your sense of tranquility and peace of mind than thru the use of Blue. A refreshing color often associated with water and symbolizing peace. Floor to ceiling blue can be authoritative and overpowering but using it as an accent adds hints of serenity. Mixing various tones of blue with opposing colors and treasured possessions will give you a well curated design.

For an Ultra- Glam look combine luxurious textures, silks, velvets & fur with crystal and soft shades of teal as your accent color.

For an exceedingly elegant look splash some sky blue paint on the wall & apply various mirrors to the wall to create a dazzling headboard.

Who doesn’t love chocolate brown & blue? Pair it high gloss furniture & some murano glass for a uniquely feminine setting.

Thanks Janet! Those are some useful tips. How do you guys like to incorporate your favorite color into your home decor?
